Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections

Aqualyx is an injectable hydrous solution that causes fat cells to dissolve, allowing them to be expelled naturally. It is micro-gelatinous, and both biocompatible and biodegradable.

The Aqualyx solution contains a detergent from the desoxycholate family. This detergent has been modified to minimize any side effects by reducing its biological half-life and the sugar-based slow release system.

The Aqualyx solution is injected into the fat with a carefully practiced technique. Commonly, two injection spots are needed for each region to be treated. The total number of treatments required can vary, as this depends on the amount of fat that needs to be removed.

It may only require 1 or 2 treatments, each of which will take 30 to 60 minutes.

Results can be seen straight away, but further treatments may be required to get the results you desire.

The procedure is low-risk and non-invasive, making it less likely to cause side effects. Some side effects are present and may last for up to five days.

These include swelling, redness, itching, and mild discomfort. Bruising may appear but will disappear within a few hours to a few days. Any swelling should subside within a week.

Aqualyx can remove a double chin within two weeks. The solution can be used almost anywhere but the area around the eyes must be avoided.

The treatment is not painful but may cause a warming sensation. The anesthetic can be added to the solution before injection to make the whole process more comfortable.

The fat cells are lost over a period of a few weeks, it's not a sudden loss of fat which means the skin will have time to heal and you will not have a loss in elasticity. Aqualyx doesn't affect the skin's firmness but targets fat cells under the skin.

The treatment is uncomfortable, however highly skilled practitioners will give you a pleasant experience they are light handed and gentle. The area will feel sensitive for the first few days and it takes a few days for the area to heal. The area can feel sensitive for few weeks after the treatment which is expected.

Expect redness and bruising in the area treated. Redness and bruising can take a few days to a few weeks to return to normal. The reason the area can be bruised is that we inject into the fat cells a solution and this will then swell up and break down the fat and be eliminated by the body. Redness is expected on the day of the treatment.
